The Who's Listnin' Foundation

2024

About - Who's Listnin'

This Project is all about using hip-hop to make a positive impact in our communities. "Who's Listnin'" creates music, organizes exhibitions, and runs charity initiatives to shine a light on important issues and encourages people to start getting involved. The goal is to bring people together, raise awareness, and inspire action through the power of music and art. Whether it's through their music, thought-provoking exhibitions, or charity work, Whos Listnin is committed to making a difference and creating a world where everyone has a voice, which is why I have named my foundation the "Who's Listnin' Foundation."

The Store

One of the key features of the exhibition is the Whos Spendin Store, where visitors can purchase merchandise and other items. A portion of the proceeds from every purchase made at the store goes towards supporting charitable causes chosen by the Whos Listnin Foundation. This innovative approach allows visitors to contribute to charity while enjoying the exhibition experience.

Tickets to the exhibition

The tickets for the exhibition are designed to be more than just entry passes; they're keepsakes that embody the spirit of hip-hop culture. Inspired by the cassette tapes commonly used in the early days of hip-hop, the tickets serve as nostalgic reminders of the genre's roots. The tickets are quite literally cassette tapes that hold the Latest EP that the who’s Listnin record label has produced.

Vans | Who's Listnin'

The collaboration with Vans was made with the goal to make use of the brand's cultural reputation and reach among the youth to strengthen my project's message and impact. By co-creating sneaker designs inspired by hip-hop culture and the project's theme, the collaboration aimed to combine art, fashion, and activism, resulting in wearable statements of social conscience.

"Drought" EP Art

First and foremost, the EP is designed to raise awareness about the issues supported by the Whos Listnin Foundation. Each track on the EP tackles social or political issues, using the medium of hip-hop to convey powerful messages and evoke emotions among listeners. the EP serves as a platform for sparking meaningful conversations and driving positive change.

The "Who's Listnin'" Font

I've always loved the energy and rhythm of the hip-hop culture, and I wanted to channel that essence into something unique yet contemporary. Instead of using typical graffiti styles, I looked for something that pays homage to hip-hop without leaning heavily on traditional graffiti styles.

Concerts / Performances

It's like a big party where artists from all over come to share their music, poetry, and dance. We've got everything from local talents to big names in the hip-hop scene. These performances aren't just about entertainment—they're about making a statement. Each artist brings their own story and perspective, tackling issues like racism, inequality, and climate change through their art. It's like a conversation with beats and rhymes!

Gallery

At the Gallery, we're constantly rotating artworks, showcasing talent from local artists, and shining a spotlight on issues that matter. It's like a revolving door of creativity, with something new to discover every month.
