With this project, I'm trying to communicate with genZ in hopes of educating and bringing more attention to this issue, because a lot of people still don't know that it exists. It is also a wake-up call for Genzers suffering from colorism to stand up for themselves and even educate them selves because you can’t educate others if you don't know about it yourself.



Billboard design



Upon my research I found out that melanin is a pigment found in our skin, and people with more melanin generally have darker skin. Slightly melanated focuses on genz suffering from colorism, and the insecurity caused by colorism. This campaign is targeted towards making us love ourselves and others no matter the skin color.


The concept of being colorblind was developed in order to educate the young minds to look through the colorism and accept themselves and others.

Physical cards / handouts



These cards are basically to remind you that your skin color does not make you beautiful \ handsome, it is a reminder to accept yourself for who you are. The reason I made this card is because, sometimes we commit colorism without even realizing it.

It might be by using filters on your phone while taking selfies to make yourself look fairer, or it might be by using fairness creams. so basically we commit colorism to ourselves. this card is to remind you, to love yourself.
